Day zero send off

Today we had our first send off from UT campus. When we arrived this morning it was slightly raining and within 20 minutes it was pouring. It cleared up right as we were about to start the send off ceremony. We made several stops on our way out of town. We stopped at the capital, city hall, at several of our sponsors and to get lunch before heading out to Cedar Park. Tomorrow is our official first day, we will be riding the Atlas ride from Cedar Park to Lampasas with local Austin cyclists and then we will have bbq and celebrate at a winery with friends and family of Texas 4000.

I want to thank all of my donors, friends and family for all the support they have given me throughout the preparations for my trip. With out all these people in my life I know I wouldnt be where I am today.

We are so proud of you and see you in Anchorage at the finish line full of smiles, mom and dad and family waiting for you there. We will be there in spirit.
