Day 2: Lampasas to Stephenville, TX 92 miles

It still has yet to hit me that I am going to be doing this all day everyday for the rest of the summer. My body hurts after 92 miles: my calves are really tight, I have a knot it my left thigh that is visible if i have my legs bent and my shoulders hurt but I made it today. This morning alumni made us breakfast, we packed our separate trailers and prepared for the day. We had a huge dedication circle with our hosts, alumni, family and friends. Today I rode for my cousin Ashley Hawkins who has beat Hodgkins lymphoma and is currently expecting her first baby in July! After ride dedications we said goodbye to the Sierra route. It is weird to me that both routes are going to be doing the same thing all summer yet we will be experiencing a completely different journey.

Today I got chain grease all over the back of my leg, at the last rest stop Katherine and Peter smeared it into a K shape so i wouldnt forget who I was,the pictures are above.

Once we arrived at Tareleton State University in Stephenville, TX we had a plank holding contest. Ivan beat Evan with a time of 5:15 and then we went were given free bbq!
